This is the Community Portal of the wiki on Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling.
Please follow the Rules of conduct when you add contents to any part of this Wiki.
If you add something new to the wiki - possibly in some obscure branch deep below the top page - you may advertise it here on this Portal.
This Portal page - and especially its associated discussion page (use the tab on the top) - can be used to discuss ideas about the Wiki, as well as technical questions. For example, on the discussion page you will find a posting about a tech question concerning math equations.
From time to time this page will be tidied, and out-of-date content removed.
If you seek a forum where you can raise a question concerning atmospheric dispersion, then consider Atmospheric Dispersion - an e-mail discussion list. It can be considered a supplement to the current Wiki. For additional fora, see the page User communities.
What's new?[]
The Wiki was established by the end of 2005. The initial structure and various content elements have been created by the founder of the Wiki (Helge Rørdam Olesen of the National Environmental Research Institute, Denmark).
Milton Beychok has contributed with several articles: Dispersion Modelling Conversions and Formulas, Accidental Release Source Terms and Compilation of U.S. EPA Models.
The Wiki has lived a very quiet life during its first years. Still, in autumn 2011 the Wiki is alive and being updated.
Logon not required, but...[]
It does not seem possible with the present hosting of the wiki to require that contributors to the site log on.
Nevertheless, contributors are strongly encouraged to identify themself (see Please identify yourself !).
